1.5-storey one-family timber framed house. The house is built in a narrow lot. The external architecture adapted to existing traditional construction. Its dominant characteristic is the large glazed terrace on the west side. Structurally, as well as for windows and doors, specific requirements were imposed by the air traffic on a nearby Helsinki airport. Construction began in late 2011 and the house was completed in autumn 2012. Our office was responsible for the architectural, structural and hvac design of the project. Architectural design was done in 3D environment, which worked also as a basis for making different planning decisions.
